My Howard Miller grandfather clock chimes correctly on the quarter hours but at the top of the hour chimes 2 hours short of actual. For example, at 6 o’clock the clock will chime 4 times. At 7 o’clock, 5 chimes, etc. Is there a process to follow to correct the number of chimes to match the actual hour?
