We have an older Howard Miller Quartz Wall Clock, Model 613-330.
I tried looking it up on Howard Miller sites but nothing with that number comes up. Perhaps someone has a catalog or book that would tell the value of this clock.

I can understand a ‘traditional’ movement clock fluctuates with temperature etc… But why is an atomic clock SO accurate and how does an atomic clock differ to a quartz clock – neither have movement

Bryan asked:

I have a quartz movement wall clock that my mother has owned forever. The face has arabic numerals & The only words are “Linden” above the center, and “Chime” below it. It looks similar to a Howard Miller Elliott wall clock. The clock works & will chime, but it’s supposed to chime once on the half hour – instead, it chimes for the hour. For instance – it will chime 7 times at 7:30, 8 times at 8:30, etc. rather than the one time it is supposed to. It’s already ben to a jeweler, and he was incapable of fixing it. Is there an easy way to fix this? Failing that, how do I tell who made the movement & where I can get a new one?
Addendum – the clock chimes correctly on the hour – it will chime 7 times at 7 o’clock. When the clock reaches 7:30, though, it will chime 7 times AGAIN. 8:00, 8 times. 8:30, 8 times, etc. It’s only supposed to chime once on the half hour.
