Personality, elegance and precision that is classified Baume & Mercier watches since its inception in 1830. After over 170 years to see the creative decision and differentiated, the company continues to modernize their watches and the call to the public. Each year there are a lot of style watches for men and women with several different models to choose from.

It all began When Louis Victor and Pierre-Joseph-Celestin Baume getting the "Frères Baume" trading entity of the Village Bois in 1830, located in the Swiss Jura. Therefore, a dynasty started in this family had clocks made for several years.

In 1834, members of the family company founded Balm Baume Feres wood. Initially, the family of pocket watches white enamel, but then turned down a great company with great diversity. In 1844, Jose Celestino Baume traveled to England to establish business relationships. It was this path that has helped diversify the company and distribute their hits across Europe. Soon after, watches signed "Waterloo", "Diviko" and "Sirdar" opening of markets in Australia and New Zealand.

In the 1880s, second generation family led the company as Watches modernized. Son of Louis-Victor, Alcide Eugene head of the Swiss firm while Alcide's brother, Arthur Joseph has been the management of the London Branch. Its elegance and precision was rewarded in 1893 with their watches have won the competition schedule at the Center of Kew-Teddington. Watches scored 91.3 of 100 possible.

The new century has seen things new and exciting for the company since 1912. In 1912, William Baume met the watchmaker and jeweler Paul Mercier at the Geneva watch and jewelry at Haas. This meeting between the two is quite possibly lead to an autograph session for the establishment of Baume & Mercier in Geneva, 26 November 1918.

The agreement between the two was shown to be highly intelligent and successful in the years ahead. Only three years later, in 1921, the company has been awarded again, this time with the coveted Geneva Seal, which was the official recognition of flawless quality products.

After WWII, the company has refocused its strategy for classic men watches, chronographs and ladies jewelry watches. In 1965, Piaget's family took control of Baume & Mercier outbid of international competition and the same year, the new owners switched to electronic adjustment fork movement.

Today, Baume & Mercier, just opened a shop in Switzerland in 2004 and has made a name for itself as a trendsetter. The continuous production and modernization in watches such as Côte d'Azur which was published in 1980, the company has kept alive and with more than 170 years later.
