Bob asked:

I was at a store looking at a Howard Miller grandfather clock model number 610-939 Majestic II. When I wanted to listen to the chime, it sounded very low inside the store and I could barely hear it. I asked if there was a volume control button and there isn’t one.

The person told me its because the store is so big and there’s lots of other furniture around it that it doesen’t allow the “full sound” of the chime be able to be heard.

Does this make sense? Is this person’s answer right?

I need to transport a large Howard Miller grandfather clock from PA to MD, about 250 miles. It is new and still in the box. Does it have to be hauled upright, or can it be laid flat??
