Digital alarm clocks are plugged in the wall. Don’t they take a lot of elecricity ?

I live in America, so we use conventional time. But I like military better, can I set my clock in military time without changing my timezone?
Also, can you purchase military digital clocks in stores in the USA?

Happens a few times a week, I’m looking at a digital clock and the time is 11:11.
P.S.: A) No. Clock isn’t broken (lol); B) can be AM or PM.
P.S. #2: Me too. Make a wish when I see the 11:11!

You know how sometimes when you sneeze or something the numbers on a digital clock look like they’re moving? Like all of the lines that make them up move away from each other. Why is that?
I have been wondering about this for a long time. Suppose my computer or some other electronic device with a clock has no internet or connectivity to the outside world but has a clock on it. After the I turn it off and then turn it back on sometime in the future it will know what time it is. How can digital clocks do this? There was no power and there is no internet. How does it work? Thanks!
how did they insert the time?
how do they become atomic?
how does the time stay as it is?
Is there some kind of mechanism in digital alarm clocks, microwaves, digital timers, etc. that tells the device when a second/minute/etc. has passed? How in the world does this work?
