How many houses of Frank Lloyd Wright fell?

I saw a documentary on Frank Lloyd Wright, who spoke of a library where he designed lights came up and down, because the cap was defective. Can be regarded as a major architect if buildings do not survive this century?

Frank Lloyd Wright, once boasted not design buildings to last more than a century. This is not something you hear from many architects. Although most Wright houses pretty well over the years, some of his best ideas have begun to crack and collapse shortly after being erected. Normally, that was the result of Wright's attempt to build cheap, often using local sand as a source of concrete that has become a signature of his later buildings like a miniature house in the Hollywood Hills that resembles a Mayan temple covenant.

Golden Steel

The doors of the steel mill in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania closed last time in 1995, ending 140 years of steel production in the city. Although is not in its spiritual home, Bethlehem Steel's steel production continues, but its production plant is now based on the main Burns Harbor, Indiana. The company has had its ups and downs, has been involved in the supply of steel for the construction of railways, bridges and landmark buildings across America and was the forerunner in the production of steel beams used in building skyscrapers.

The steel for the first time in Bethlehem is the Saucon Iron Company, which opened in 1857. Four years later the company changed its name from the Bethlehem Iron company in 1863 and began mass production of railroad tracks used in building the transcontinental railroad. During the next forty years the contracts for the supply of steel have been agreed with the Navy SU, and at the time of Charles M. Schwab has been appointed President in 1904 Bethlehem Steel Corporation has not only been a big factory in south Bethlehem, but in the forges and shipyards in Cuba on both U.S. coasts.

In 1908, the company began producing large steel flange structural component, causing a revolution in construction, These articles are used in the phenomenon of the construction of new skyscrapers. Five years later the company acquired Bethlehem Steel's shipbuilding Fore in Quincy, Massachusetts, to become one of the largest shipyards in the country.

World War I, Bethlehem Steel provided a great opportunity to develop. At the beginning of the conflict, Company had an annual production capacity of 1.1 million tonnes and employs 15,600 workers. In 1925, after providing vehicles tanks, vessels, vehicles, weapons and ammunition for the U.S. and Allied forces during and immediately after the war, the annual production increased to 8.5 million tons and the size of the company rose to 60,000.

In the thirties Bethlehem Steel continued to grow through acquisition, buying of steel companies in the Pacific coast and McClintic-Marshall Corp., a major bridge and building construction. This was the golden age for the construction of America and Bethlehem Steel was responsible for landmark buildings such as the Golden Gate Bridge U.S. Supreme Court, Rockefeller Plaza, the Waldorf-Astoria and the Bridge George Washington.

During World War II moved any Bethlehem Steel production in the military, which employs almost 300,000 of whom some 180,000 workers directly involved in shipbuilding. The post-war the company resumed production of steel for the national projects of the United States and the military, and continued to prosper.

The 1960s saw the steel imported into the United States reached record levels, but also the home of Bethlehem Steel filed for these two landmarks as Madison Square Garden, Newport Bridge and the second Delaware Memorial Bridge. In 1973, Bethlehem Steel, has reported revenues of $ 207 million reaching a record level of 23.7 million tonnes of crude steel and 16.3million tonnes of finished steel. The company continued to prosper, but in the early Imports steel in 1980 was made more impact, which forced a radical restructuring of Bethlehem Steel, resulting in a halving of the workforce of more – Was closed in 1995.

Today, Bethlehem has been recovered from the loss of its steel and has an economic and cultural renaissance. Hotels Bethlehem once used by those who had business with steel are reinventing themselves as a tourist and conference centers. Steel From May long gone to Bethlehem, but the entrepreneurial spirit of its citizens is alive.

The market for high brightness LED driver ICs is increasingly diverse and offers opportunities for growth. The dollar market is expected to continue growing significantly faster than unit sales. When we visited the site of Club 107, which was simply an empty shell. It's hard to imagine what it would become the Night Drive box works well, but after three months of hard work the place opened to the public with great success.

The memory is simple: the high sound quality and an impressive show disco party lights.

Club 107's Sound System

Starting with the sound system, we opted for a sound system by Funktion. Known for their high quality and visually stunning systems, we believe that Funktion One system would provide the most appropriate place. On the dance floor in the integrated sound system Res2SH Funktion One of four vessels from the speakers overhead, with two doubles F221 Funktion One 21 "subwoofers. Res2SH Speakers Funktion One offers a scattering of fairly narrow, which allowed us to concentrate on the dance floor area, without shedding much in the bar area. The speakers were driven by two amplifiers MC ², the E25 and E45. They were in turn controlled by an XTA DP424 processor system and a compressor, limiter XTA C2, with a mixer from Formula Sound FF6000 in the DJ booth.

The sound device (filling surround sound system) is slightly more complex, with 7 additional set separate areas. First, there are four individual VIP rooms, each requires its own volume control. For the Bose system was specified, providing a high quality sound from compact enclosures. The first three rooms used for Bose Speaker surface mount DS100, with the final room, with FreeSpace 3 system. Each room also was equipped with a volume control unit RL1 clouds remote, enabling customers to control the volume in their rooms independently.

Then came the top and bottom bar and the dance school. In these areas, was chosen for a number of (EV) Electrovoice ZX1 speakers. Powered by QSC GX3 and GX5 amplifier, these speakers offer a solution perfectly fine, but not overwhelming sound to peripheral areas.

The Club 107 Disco lighting system

Now, for the lighting system, we had the challenge to create something impressive, but only to give the place a Standing head and above its competitors. With its ceiling high enough, the 107 Club was a candidate ideal for a = "_blank"> target LED ceiling. After discussion and amendments, it was decided that we would build the array of LEDs to run as to all along the ceiling and a wall opposite the DJ box. Covering a total area of 90 square meters, this would be one of disco lights the most impressive in the region.

The roof is composed of 1850 LED RGB, which covers the 18 m long and 5 m wide zone. Each light is individually controllable, allowing us to create a range almost infinite number of profiles, graphics and effects. On the roof of the LED, also adapted a series of traditional goals = "_blank"> Lighting Effects disco to add an even greater impact for the play of light. These consist of 8 Dress CT ClubSpot 300 Moving Heads, and 8 Martin Atomic 3000 strobes. He added British built two custom 300mW green laser, a system of Club Mist Martin and Martin, AF-1 fan to circulate the smoke. In view of the scene, two dresses ClubWash 300 CT Moving Heads were mounted, and two dresses ClubSpot TC 300 were placed in high school dance floor. LED lighting device has also been added, with 48 LED Octostip placed in combating the bar area and curbs on the balcony.

The lighting control was provided by a Ecue software. This will given flexibility to program the entire system on a computer, with different areas to be controlled separately. He also gave us the ability to run graphics and video low-resolution LED in the ceiling. The DMX has been issued by Butler Ecue seven devices, which gives us a total of fourteen world of DMX.

To end on a system vision consists of three LCD projectors ranging from a computer with MIDI Arkaos. Two screens are custom built on the banks on the dance floor, while a third screen rear projection control apparatus was suspended on the edge of the dance floor. This has allowed the increase to close a section of the club by reducing screen and use it as a divider. As we used a rear projection screen, has customers on both sides of the wall to see pictures and graphics that are is projecting.
