How can I get more than a year away from the battery on my snowmobile?

I bought a new battery last year, as always, and every year I buy a new one. Why? Will not be a burden, let alone have one. I put the charger on it and the needle does not move.

Because I bet you let it sit all summer without ever using or cargo, right? Lead acid batteries must be regularly discharged and recharged to maintain their working capacity. If two or three months will only make a battery to sit, you're done. Once you purchase this again year, and when the season, here's what to do: every two weeks (minimum), turn on the snowmobile and running for a while. Next, place the battery on an automatic trickle charger – If you have one that has a maintenance mode, the best, can only leave any time and keep the battery charger for you. If all the foregoing, the battery will be ready for next winter and will last at least 4-5 years, probably more.
