Why do the numbers on Digital Clocks shake OUT of the display space when you do certain things?

When I make a strange noise with my mouth and BACK away from a digital clock, the numbers start moving up and down, and the lines that make up the numbers even move away from each other. I have to be FAR away for it to happen.

To explain it better to others, my friend told me that the same thing happens if you take something that vibrates, like a massager, and put it up to your head. Apparently, this will also cause the numbers to shake.

The craziest thing has been when some of the line segments that make up the numbers, move OUT of the display space. Why and HOW is this possible!? How come nothing else looks like its shaking? I’ve been wondering this since I was 11 years old, no lie. I’m almost 20 now.
