In Esperanto, the universal language, the word means always in motion. In English, it was basically says, "extraordinary" iconic shows. The brand has been through a bit of a decline in the seventies but when it was acquired by the Company's North American Watch, their luck began to turn – especially in America and in 1996 the North American Society officially adopted the name Watch Movado as its own, as it became the most popular brand.
Today, Movado is still one of the most popular and innovative luxury watch brands in the United States, and this condition should not change anytime soon.
