How do I take care of Jacaranda trees with a split in the extension?

Hi, I purchased about 2 trees Jacaranda months and planted in my garden. The trees are probably 12-14 'tall. One of the trees is a long, long purple flowers and all branches the top. The other flowers and trees is not good. The tree has green leaves on top, but almost half the branches / leaves are brown. There are 3 small branches leaving about 3 ', 4' and 6 'at the bottom. After examination, a large tree split / crack that runs all the way from the assumption that the main branches stop. At first I tried to pack the tree had a roll of white cloth, Home Depot, but when I removed and sprayed through the crack with a kind of putty-like asphault. There were no changes in this tree-good or bad. This tree is a Goner? if not, how long can I help you, sorry … I should add that the split is not huge or anything. in some places, its more like a crack in the crust. 1 small branch just noticed newest on top. Also, I cut Branches that are only beginning to emerge from the bottom (leaving aside the tree)?

I advise you to remove it.It now have been infected with the putrefaction. You lose your time trying to revive it.The only way I could do would be to reduce below the crack, and regrowth.But expect to wait a long time. Jacarandas are really beautiful trees.Good Luck!
