Has anyone been to the murder of Gianni Versace?

The murderer of Gianni Versace, Andrew Cunanan, who wore a shirt carrying the time of his suicide, was chased by police for a series of murders. Police reported that Andrew Cunanan had suicide using the same hand gun that had been used for the murder of Gianni Versace. The motive for the killing remains a mystery. Has anyone been to the reason for this murder?

Logically, I would say it was pure madness. Sad.
