Rudolf Stingel Biography and Exhibitions at the Saatchi Gallery

Rudolf Stingel was born in 1956 in Merano, Italy, lives and works in New York. Stingel said in his usual no-nonsense, beautiful way. For his sixth show with Cooper since 1994, Stingel – between what would be my first choice for the next Whitney Biennial – has left the temple-like space, except for a minimal gallery lacquered white particles.

If you know Stingel work, you know that this is not an intelligent left blank Gallery cunning, or ask your dealer toadying (even if all the artists are able to do so). In fact, this exhibition is Stingel as subversive as strikes remains. In 2002, the walls of the galleries covered in the insulation board and money allowed people to mark on the willy-harm than good. In 1997 completed the floor with a plush carpet and placed a large, perforated core foam near the blue screen. Before that, he published an "instruction" book that explains how to make his abstract paintings. His unforgettable in New York in early 1991 was a bright orange rug in an empty gallery.
