NYE, is it normal for a bar to refuse to serve alcohol 10 minutes before midnight to go?
I attended a community function @ Aurora Stadium in Launceston Tasmania, and even though I was sober I was denied when I tried to buy a drink to celebrate the new year with another man, even if a woman in front of us was served. We are not allowed to take our own drinks to this event and I think the attitude of those who run the event since it sucks NYE celebrations are expected to to see in New York! On the other hand, had already put into the bright lights and cleaning were all around us, long before midnight and clearly wanted out of there all of us, not to mention how poor the midnight fireworks were or that they show a hitter at 9:30 pm! Is this going anywhere or is just typical of the Launceston City Council?
yes, where vendors serve alcohol, have the rite to refuse anyone, as I'ts here in States do not feel bad, it has been for me and for all.
