What is the best way to remove the wax has cooled since the female end of cable from an iPod or suggestion to replace this string?

I installed an interface iPod on the back of my car stereo. Everything is great my aunt gives me this candle as a gift. I put in the car cup holder right next to where my iPod cable sat. Its really hot days, one thing leads to another and back to my car to discover the end of my iPod cable swimming in a pool of melted wax. Once that is cooled with a connector I was full of dry wax. I put the cable so that when the heating temperature wax would drip consolidated again tomorrow. It worked well, but still there. T Does anyone have suggestions about how to remove wax? It would also be open to shave the end of the cable splice and again there. I do not know how hard it is to match every child within the cable. I will not have a chance and ruin the plug in the iPod itself. It's an iPod Video.

I'm not sure what to do, but I would try to use one end of a clip to the wax out. Maybe you could use a tool heating to get the wax out. Just be careful not to become too hot. Himself one of the small screwdrivers that work to get the wax out. It's a bit difficult. Good luck. Hope you get it worked.
