Is affirmative action reverse discrimination?

The claims of reverse discrimination have been around for a while, however, recent events have foreground. With the decision the Supreme Court of New Haven, CT white fire case reverse discrimination, the election of President Obama's appointment of Sonia Sotomayer, the first Latino appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court, claimed by some white men are discriminated against despite the fact that seven of the nine justices are men whites. I remember seeing a photo of presidential candidate John Edwards on the cover of Esquire magazine, with the caption: "Can a white man is still president?" There have been 44 presidents, 43 of them were white males. I think it's a safe bet that we will see at least a white man as president again. Instead of asking a stupid question, Why we had a president not only target and not women?

I remember reading a quote from Barry Switzer, "Some people are born in the third base and go through life thinking they hit a triple. This profound statement is the essence of racial privilege and what is white in America. It shows that some people are given an advantage, while others must work harder to reach the same place. It is undeniable that every president has had to work hard to gain as much function in the country. However, Obama has had to overcome additional difficulties because of their color.

To continue the baseball analogy, the action yes it is not taking white players off the field. What this means is that there are no longer the advantage of leaving third base, but must take their turn in the batter's box with everyone else. This is a level playing field everyone has to earn his presence at the base, where everyone has the opportunity to reinforce the plate.

There was a time in our history in which African Americans were banned from competing in the major leagues and were relegated to separate but unequal Black League. In 1947, the general manager Dodgers' Branch Rickey, Brooklyn, motivated as much by the ideal of racial equality and the desire to win around a globe, said a black player on his team. The player was the legendary Jackie Robinson. In doing so, the couple ended the baseball color line of the sixty first year of segregation. Branch Rickey wanted the ball players most talented and was smart enough to know that some of the best players were white.

Today, there are plenty of Jackie Robinson, so to speak, they deserve an opportunity to demonstrate their exceptional skills and talents. Affirmative action is not a perfect solution, but provides the best opportunity for people of all backgrounds for a chance to compete.

Sometimes the affirmative action policy does not apply to their real intentions. Some people who are targeted grants for work they deserve. They have the right to be angry against injustice.

However, for each of these cases, when a white person falls prey to discrimination, there are ten times the number of people of color who experience such discrimination.

You and I think that claims of discrimination versa. For simplicity, the team represents all black people.

The white team is allowed to field three times the number of black players on the team.

Instead of three outs, the team in white get six outs.

The referees are employed by the white team and use white team members.

All games are played at home on stage of the white team, which was applauded and supported the team, while black is booed and jeered.

Team White has all the latest equipment and while the black team to settle for the discharge of white teams.

White team grew up playing baseball in organized leagues and participation in camps private baseball.

The 43 former commissioners white baseball team. Now, the first Black commissioner attempts to appoint a black referee. However, the white team, saying it is unfair.

Discrimination is discrimination, no matter in what direction it is pointed. However, it seems that the only while many whites condemn such behavior is when the bus is in reverse over them.

Racism in the United States always results in a disproportionate number white people you were walking on the ground that, while many people of color have been hit by a pitch. The end result is the same, but much more painful.
