blaplanet asked:

If there is a power outage, all digital clocks in the house forget the time except for the clock in the computer. Why doesn’t anybody make digital clocks that work the same way as the computer clock?
Thanks to everyone about the 9v backup in digital clocks. I knew about that. I’m thinking more generally – microwave ovens, vcr’s, etc. Doesn’t seem to expensive for the manufacturers to put the battery in it like in a PC? Why don’t they?

An alarm radio clock that takes volt battery as backup in addition the computer display will not work.

Turn your alarm clock over, there is a little panel. open it and insert a 9v battery, this will allow it to save the time. As vcr’s microwaves and stoves do not have built in memory with battery backup you will still need to reset those.
