How does a crystal figurine of forgotten memories Revived

While surfing the web for some glass products to add to my store, I found a crystal with double-wing aircraft. It seemed the great world war German SPAD I immediately remembered my childhood and how I loved the SPAD a model airplane. I remembered to buy the kit and building the model when I was 12.

I worked for hours building and took off to fly when it was over. Well, I took the plane crashed and repaired the same evening. The next day I boarded the plane crashed and back again. This continued for 7 days, he was determined to fly and I wanted to see what looked like a fighter plane in flight. I finally got my answer.

I turned the screw until the elastic was so tight that I could do. I SPAD thrown to the wind as hard as I could make and oh my, what a sight. The wind took the plane and took about 20 feet off the ground and forced to turn left gracefully. I could see top wings the propeller stopped and the plane lost power has been installed on a trajectory down towards me. I remember thinking, if the plane was real, I'd be dead. I was just online fire. And remember that thought triggered the memory of a story my mother told me about my father.

My father died when I was 4 years and you have few memories of him. My mother and my older brother has been my source of information about my father. My mother told me on Dry sense my father's humor and how could turn around facts to make people laugh. He was a master of the "virtue of the declaration" or using the ridiculous to make a point. These qualities beat everyone he met, including its commander, U.S. Army.

When my mother told me this story, I laughed so hard I cried. At 18, my father volunteered to join the army during the First World War was assigned to the motor pool as a mechanic and truck driver. One day his unit was ordered deliver ammunition, supplies and troops to the front. The convoy of 20 trucks started with my father the right truck driving behind the vehicle carrying officers. Passing truck partially wooded area my father was ahead in an open area when the convoy was attacked from behind 2 Spads German.

Troops and pilots jumped from the truck and ran to take refuge in trees. Unfortunately, my father and before him the officers had no place to go. My father crawled under his truck was fully loaded with ammunition. After the attack was over and the aircraft flying, an officer approached my father and said: "My son, why hide under a truck ammunition? If you hit you have killed him.

My father looked into his eyes and said, "Lord, explosions burst, not down."

He simply smiled and went away. The officers had hidden under their vehicle as well. The reason for my father, a stupid question get a silly response.

Funny how memories of a crystal figurine revived long forgotten. Memories of my youth, my passion for building models aircraft and memory on the call from my father in the war. Funny how the mind works, right?
