The Show photo does not have a tachometer. The dial bezel is used as a countdown. You turn the knob to the desired number minutes after the hour current, and when the minute is 0 (12) position, time. tachometer calculates a speed of more than one unit away. The link displayed more early in response to Mark G did a good job of describing how it works. As a semi-interesting aside, the dive watches w / rotating bezel that contains a ratchet as a security measure that allows rotation in one direction. If the telescope is beaten during a dive, the time is shortened, preventing and the diver to believe that you have longer (air supply) to the left than in reality.
